Tip Top Tiffany

I love these little Tiffany bits that are so usuable but just a little different to the iconic jewellery. I am constantly looking for something that I love that isn't necessarily a 'wardrobe' item.

The pen is a great size to slip in your handbag and the luggage tag adds that beautiful unsurpassed elegance that comes with the Tiffany design.

Proof fashion doesn't have to be clothes and shoes! Visit www.tiffany.co.uk for their selection of pens or http://www.thelittleblackdressagency.co.uk for these two particular items.

A Wasted Day

They say that a wasted day is never a day wasted and I agree.

So far today I have done.....well very little! I do however feel relaxed and content. I believe that everyone needs to have the odd day doing nothing and that is exactly what today will consist of.

My day of doing nothing does however include some beautiful things....

Firstly is obviously again my little gorgeous doggie. Gem.

Also included in my day are my gorgeous and comfy, cuddly cushions. My all time favourite one is the one that was bought for my by my Mother.

This is a Christian Lacroix cushion that has the moto on the front "I like to live naked but it's cold outside", this made me laugh when my Mum gave me it and put a smile on my face.

The other two favourite cuddly cushions are Missoni, they are beautifully colourful and add the pizaz of colour which always brightens up the room.

I hope you all have a relaxing and wonderful day!

Show me your teeth.

It has been said that I spend to much money on pampering but I belive that if you are healthy inside then you look better on the outside. Yes I am a big believer that you also feel better if you look after yourself aesthetically also and that's where this post comes in. I have been thinking about my teeth.
Smile!

I'm a huge fan of a beautiful smile, the pouting selfies aren't my thing and if I'm honest I think the whole duck lip pose is insane and think that a smile looks good on anyone and everyone so it's important to look after our teeth as best we can.
The pout!

I've tried the oil pulling and I just couldn't get to grips with this, possibly because I didn't feel it was instant enough.

Every morning and evening I wash my teeth with Colgate as usual and then follow it with this little secret...
White Glo.
http://www.whiteglo.com

This immediately makes my teeth feel shiny and clean and I can't recommend it enough. I bought mine from Boots but you can obviously get it off the website so go and get shopping girls.

I hope your day is sunny and happy.

FFF (Five Favourite Fings)

It seems I have five favourite things that I go back to again and again and that I can't live without in my day to day life. Firstly is the love of my life, the one and only Gembie Pie, my little loyal Staffy. I have had her since she was 12 weeks old and she is still as naughty now at 9.

Gembie Pie!

Next is obviously alcohol but not just any old alcohol. I have a fantastic lady in my life named Angela Metcalfe (you can tweet her www.twitter.com/winebitch) who just so happens to be the 'wine bitch' at Lewis and Cooper and she is always there to recommend the best accompaniment for anything. Even if that anything is nothing, if you know what I mean! At the moment Angela has me hooked on Sir Robin of Locksley Gin, she gave me a little taste last week with a raspberry, strawberry and slice of lime which of course resulted in me buying not one but two bottles!! Naughty Angela.

Sir Robin of Locksley Gin bought from
http://www.lewisandcooper.co.uk/store/home.asp - Sue is always a firm favourite here at the Yarm store and goes out of her way to help.

I love drinking mine with strawberries and the way they taste at the end of the drink once they have been soaked in alcohol is exquisite.

My third favourite thing is a Jo Malone product, I am a fan of all Jo Malone items but I just adore the Pomegranate Noir Cologne, it is strong and powerful and so recognisable. The smell of it brings back so many fantastic and heart warming memories. This is just a must in my life.

Jo Malone, Pomegranate Noir Cologne.

My next must have in my life is possibly a little fickle but hey ho! I don't feel ready without my nails done! There I've said it. It is amazing how different I feel if my nails aren't world ready. I have them done once every two weeks and depending on where I go it costs me around £20 and I would say that is £10 a week well spent to make me feel great.

I went for a rose colour this time which is very easy wearing.

Another Jo Malone product is my next favourite and that is their candles. When I wake up in the morning before I make a cup of tea and breakfast I light my candles, now this may seem a little daft as I leave the house about an hour later but there is method in my madness and that is that when I get home from work that afternoon my house greets me with the most amazing smell instantly putting me in a good mood no matter what has gone on that day. Perfect.

Jo Malone, Blackberry & Bay candle.

Now last but certainly not least are my family and friends, without which I do not have the slightest clue where I would be. I simply could not live without them and appreciate them all beyond comparison.

Dad - The peace maker and monkey drinker.
Hannah - The sister who organises and reprimands me when I need it most.
Rooster and I - The Nephew who I would kill for so be warned.
The Mother - The powerhouse of the operation who is the glue that holds us all together.

The boy - Rooster my Nephew.

Lara - The memory maker and secret keeper.

Jimble - The brother in law that lets me get in his car covered in mud after I have thrown a strop and ran away from home (this wasn't recently).

Jade - The lady I thought she was an angel when I met her and I was a little baffled at how I could possibly have such an innocent girl as a friend, I was mistaken!! She is a whirlwind of laughter and fun.

Have a perfect day, I hope all the red lights turn green for you.
Love Katie.

Today Is Thursday

Today is Thursday and not so sunny. I just couldn't wake up this morning so I have literally thrown my clothes on. Contrary to popular belief I do not wear deaigner from head to toe and today proves that.

I tried to insert a little sunshine into my outfit as it's not that warm and no better way to do that than with this bright yellow jumper from H&M, the jeans are also a favourite of mine and are super low, super skinny also from H&M.

I have started to walk to work so flats are a must at the moment and no better pair than these colab boots from Alexander McQueen with Puma, they were a gift and I have to say one of my very favourite gifts ever.

The bag is an all time favourite and is Smythson, I generally use it every day and it was brought into the shop possibly two years ago and is still going strong.

For any little designer goodies like my Smythson bag please do visit the website

Have a happy Thursday and I hope it is a day filled with fun and laughter.

From The Bottom up

Sunday Style

I could not for the life of me decide what to wear on Sunday, it was sunny but the weather kept changing and I wasn't in the mood for heels. After a few outfit changes and a few small strops with myself I made my choice based around……….the shoes!!

Left - Christian Louboutins So Kates. Right - Ash High tops in zesty lemon.
Ash High Tops, Size UK 4. Available for £65.
www.thelittleblackdressagency.co.uk

Now to your surprise, the heels aren't mine, I am wearing the high tops, so I was looking for an outfit that I could wear with these Summer favourites. I didn't want to wear jeans a I felt this may be a little too dressed down. Once I had thrown the contents of my wardrobe all over the room looking for that perfect piece of the puzzle that would compliment the high tops, I settled for this ……
Dress, Size UK 8, French Connection. Available for £45.

The dress was colourful enough to carry off the high tops in a funky way, if I had worn the dress with heels it would have been too girly for me so the high tops compliment it perfectly.

Now that Coachella has passed,we have all had time to analyse the fashion. It is famous for its celebrities and of course what they are wearing, so lets take a look….

Lets start with Kylie Jenner who is in the tabloids and glossies almost every day for what she is wearing. Considering the stunning young lady has such a killer body its quite refreshing to see that she has dressed in cool floaty pants and a sexy peasant top, this is a great look and is possibly one that can be carried off by many.

This look however seems a little harder to carry off for us mere mortals that aren't blessed with a super model body. The cut off shorts were a favourite a Coachella and personally I love them but simply wouldn't scare the world by wearing them. I do however think that there is an easy alternative to this outfit that would be just as cool and still discreetly sexy, skinny ripped jeans, a white vest and the rest of the outfit the same…. .voila.

What are your thoughts ladies?
